Boulder (3U9)

Once I got back home, I found my nose wheel pants was broken. Wouldn't recommend landing here with wheel pants. A bush-type plane would be fine here.

Landed here today in my RV10 after speaking with the airport manager. He was really helpful and upfront about the field conditions, and recommended touching down in the first 1000' of 29 if the wind permitted. It didn't, so I put it down in the first 1000' of 11. Even at minimum approach speed using short field technique, it was VERY rough. Once parked, I honestly thought I might have left wheel pants somewhere on the runway. For departure, with DA close to 9000', I taxied all the way to the end of 11. That end was better, but it was still rough.

Stopped in a stock Cessna T182T on 8/15/2025. Field was in fine condition but a little rough. Mostly rough patches of grass with a few gravel spots here and there. This is coming from a pilot that mostly operates on paved surfaces. We landed and took off to the east, the hump in the runway blocks sight picture of the full length of the runway and that surprised us.
