This is a neat spot to visit but involves a fair amount of hazard getting in. Anticipate low level wind shifts including tail winds on final. Be mindful that this strip has taken a couple of planes this year because of wind shear. As stated the chip seal is a bit uneven.

Runway 34 is uphill into rising terrain and 16 is slightly downhill with a 100 ft ridge a mile away. Runway is paved and in fine shape, good location! Stayed the night at Bar 10 ranch and it was such a fun experience. Family friendly, slept in a covered wagon and had ranch dinner. Reservations required it's not a drop in location but highly recommended! Bring your own tie downs and anchors.

Twin Comanche Drew C. Flying in is breathtaking, the "Valley" has enough room for maneuver you maybe need for departure. Landed uphill 34 and takeoff downhill 16. Super fine and helpful guys there and overnighting in canvas waggons is a fantastic experience, as well ATV tour to the rim.... Food is great and they give you a truly ranch experience, horseback riding is possible also.
