Runway is in really great condition. Noise preference is arrivals to the north and departures south. Parking sits at the northwest end, so if you land north... keep rolling to the end, then turn left. Text the manager first if you plan to stay overnight since parking is limited. We took bikes, rode around the US side, had lunch at Salt Water Cafe, then headed out. Riding beside the road is easy enough because cars go slow. Also made it to the beach. Awesome family/kids day trip.

Pretty much the same as Kevin W. mentioned six months ago, except Victoria Terminal provided my radar services on 132.7.

To gain some altitude for the water crossing, call Vancouver Terminal 135.47 if arriving from the east (127.8 from the south). Their airspace begins at 2500. They maintain you low on departure until radar contact so I stayed near the airport until permitted to climb.
