Brewton Municipal (12J)

Pulled in on the way to SnF because of some serious turbulence. The ramp was completely empty on Sunday. The FBO was clean, with a comfortable couch where I could hang out until the wind settled down. My only gripe was working out how to reach the start of runway 12. All in all, a good spot to stop, top off, and take a break.

Dropped into Brewton Municipal (12J) for a physiological break. Mixed it up in the pattern with a couple of Navy T-6s. Ron was there to marshal us in and take our fuel order. He was quick and efficient with the fueling. Afterwords he showed me around and I was able to meet Freddie, the proprietor of the operation. Friendly and efficient service all the way around. I wouldn't hesitate to stop in again if I ever find myself in the neighborhood.

Flew there for a few months while coming and going checking on my ill brother. Tried Milton because it was a bit closer to our driving destination but their fees are astronomical, $25 daily for five days, jumped to $50 daily after 5 days. I called Brewton and Ron was very helpful to us in our time of need. Wonderful airport but make sure you contact Ron to purchase fuel. He will work that out for you if he’s not on he premises. Appreciate his southern hospitality during a. very sad time in my life.
