Remains one of my preferred stops. I have relatives close by that brings me here again and again. Volunteers continue to be friendly and kind. Fuel costs are good and so is the self serve process. Walking distance to Culver’s Burgers and Custard as well as a steak house.( basically across the street and up the road 3 or so houses). Uber is simple to request.

Amazingly helpful volunteers. They are understandably very proud of their new self service fuel system. Milwaukee approach helped coordinate with transition of nearby class d. One needs ground spike anchors to secure down on the concrete slabs north of the hangars (no anchor rings in the concrete). I was fortunate that a pilot owner moved his plane to make room for me on the pavement south of the hangars. Incredible graciousness. In either case bring your own tie down straps.
